Little Arrows knitting stitch pattern: Reversible, and it doesn’t curl!

    May 22, 2021 /

In today’s tutorial, you’ll learn how to knit the Little Arrows stitch (similar to the Reversible Chevron stitch we learned a while ago, but much easier). A cute and delicate pattern, that features additional advantages: For starters, I want you to know that it’s pretty easy to do.  The Little Arrow stitch is totally suitable for beginners, because it only requires knitting and purling (no increases, decreases, nor cables are needed). Secondly, it’s a reversible knitting pattern. Although it’s not identical on both sides, they both look really nice so you can choose whichever side you prefer. Moreover, due to the combination of knits and purls in each of its…

Scrunchy Stitch knitting pattern: For Summer and Winter garments

    May 18, 2021 /

This Scrunchy Stitch includes everything we knitters love: A fancy texture, easy and fun to knit, it lays flat, although it’s not reversible, it looks pretty on the “wrong” side, and it forms a spongy fabric. Furthermore, it’s a six-row repeat pattern, five of which are knitting and purling, nothing complicated really (as easy as the 2 x 1 Rib stitch). The “action” comes in row 6 😉 For those reasons, the Scrunchy Stitch is a great option when knitting different kind of projects. From a hat, to a sweater or top, but also nice for blankets, cushions, scarves, etc. Another key point is that the Scrunchy Stitch is so…

How to knit the Half Brioche stitch (using only the knit stitch)

    May 15, 2021 /

The Half Brioche knitting pattern is one of those stitches we knitters around the world love… Why? Well, there are many reasons: First of all, it’s really easy to do (the only technique required is the knit stitch). You don’t even have to purl! Secondly, it’s a four-row repeat pattern, two of which are just knit across. In addition, it has a lovely texture to it. It’s a fluffy stitch, the pattern creates little embossed “v” which makes the fabric appear really pretty imho (similar to the Twisted Knot stitch). Maybe you’re thinking about the classic Brioche stitch, and how difficult it is, but the only thing they share in…

How to knit the Mermaid stitch pattern: Perfect for blankets, blankies, binkies etc…

    May 11, 2021 /

In this tutorial, you’ll learn the Mermaid knitting stitch pattern: A charming stitch (it has a rich nubbly texture to it, similar to another old favorite the Edelweiss stitch which we practiced some time ago), extraordinary as well as easy peasy lemon squeezy. I think it’s the perfect stitch for a bag, a cushion or a blanket… something large enough to appreciate the entire pattern with both your eyes and your hands. What’s more, if you prefer a scarf, please don’t forget to include a nice edge on each side of the piece, trust me it really makes a difference. The Mermaid knitting stitch is a 12 row-repeat pattern, however,…

How to fix mistakes when knitting the Fisherman’s Rib stitch

    May 4, 2021 /

Fixing a mistake when knitting the classic Fisherman’s Rib stitch, could be a major challenge for knitters. So, as many of you have requested it, today, I’m sharing how to repair annoying errors and take things back to normal when knitting the Fisherman’s Rib stitch. Just click here to see the step-by-step process: How to fix mistakes when knitting the Fisherman’s Rib stitch I hope this helps. Thank…

    April 25, 2021 /

In today’s tutorial, you’ll learn how to knit the Tilted Tiles stitch. A lace pattern, which forms little diamonds, along with diagonal embossed lines. Therefore, the Tilted Tiles is an elegant and delicate pattern, for tops as well as cardigans or sweaters. In addition, it’s a lovely stitch for knitting a scarf, rectangular shawl or wrap. To put a cherry on top, knit an edge on each side of the piece, using Seed, Irish Moss, Bumpy, or just the classic Garter stitch. However, before we get started with today’s pattern, I’m sharing some of the best tips and tricks when you absolutely, positively just have to knit lace stitches: First…

How to knit the Snowdrops Eyelets stitch pattern (ideal for beginners)

    April 19, 2021 /

In this tutorial, I’m sharing the Snowdrops Eyelets knitting stitch pattern, because it’s one of those that I learned as a child.  Actually, when I was just 13 years old, I knitted a three-quarter sleeve sweater using this stitch, and then I totally forgot about it. Besides it’s a lovely stitch, the Snowdrops Eyelets pattern is so easy to knit, that it can be your first lace pattern to try. No matter if you have little or no experience at all knitting lace stitches. Furthermore, the Snowdrops Eyelets stitch pattern is perfect for knitting scarves, cowls, throws or wraps, since it lays flat. But it’s also a nice option when…

Embossed Blocks knitting stitch pattern: Reversible, unisex, and it doesn’t curl

    April 12, 2021 /

In today’s tutorial, you’ll learn how to knit the Embossed Blocks stitch pattern: Super easy, reversible (although it’s not identical on both sides, the “right” and the “wrong” sides look pretty!). Furthermore, it’s also a unisex stitch pattern, so it could be used to knit women’s, children’s, and men’s garments, such as scarves, blankies, cushions, cowls…you name it! And it doesn’t matter if you are just starting to knit: The Embossed Blocks stitch is a 8 row-repeat pattern. Most of those rows are exactly the same, so it’s not difficult to memorize. The Embossed Blocks knitting pattern is similar to the Little Boxes stitch we practiced some time ago, another…

    March 24, 2021 /

An adorable stitch, perfect for knitting clothes and accessories for babes and babies, as well as women’s hats, sweaters or tops. Its eye-catching design is flattering and timeless! The Baby Eyelet Cables combines columns of knitting and purling, along with little lace cables. It’s a four-row repeat pattern, easy to knit and quick to memorize (pretty intuitive). The first row is the most important…it may appear complicated the first time you try, persevere as the second and third times the charm, it just gets easier 😉 The next 3 rows are…
