New Two-Row repeat knitting stitch, perfect for knitting scarves – No purling required!

    July 17, 2021 /

In today’s tutorial, I’m sharing an adorable stitch, ideal for beginners. This is a new two-row repeat knitting pattern, perfect for scarves, because it’s reversible (identical on both sides), and unisex. Actually, it’s so easy, that you don’t even have to purl: The pattern requires knits and slip-stitches only! It looks pretty similar to the Double Slip-Stitch Rib pattern, but it’s even easier 😉 Furthermore, it stays flat, so it can be used for blankets, cowls, bags, table runners, place mats, cushions, and many other projects, the possibilities are endless! Finally, in the video tutorial, you’ll see how it’s done in both English and Continental style… ooh la la. Ok,…

Twisted Knot knitting stitch pattern: Only four rows and it doesn’t curl

    August 6, 2020 /

I would to share with you the Twisted Knot knitting pattern. An adorable stitch that doesn’t curl. It has a rich texture to it, similar to the Edelweiss knitting pattern. The Twisted Knot stitch is a four-row repeat pattern; it is pretty intuitive: There are only two steps that will be repeated time and time again, easy to see and to memorize, so you’ll instantly know what comes next; there’s no need to keep checking the instructions all the time. It’s not reversible, yet the “wrong” side of the work looks interesting too, so there are many projects we can use it for: Scarves, cowls, cushions, table runners, blankets, hats,…

How to knit the Sand stitch pattern: Super easy and it doesn’t curl

    March 5, 2020 /

Today you’ll learn how to knit an adorable pattern: The Sand stitch; ideal for beginners because it’s super easy, yet full of texture, and it doesn’t curl. The Sand stitch is a lovely option for knitting baby clothing, as well as cowls, sweaters and blankets. It’s everything but complicated: Only four rows, and two of them are knit rows; it shares the same DNA as the Seed stitch, but I think it’s easier, if you are just starting to knit. Lace Rib knitting stitch pattern: Reversible and it doesn’t curl

    February 22, 2020 /

In today’s tutorial, you’ll learn how to knit a great substitute for the classic ribbing: The Lace Rib stitch.  Easy to knit, reversible, pretty stretchy, and it doesn’t curl… plus, it’s a two-row repeat pattern. The Lace Rib stitch has a great texture to it, perfect for knitting the hems and cuffs of a stylish jumper or cardigan, or for knitting a romantic scarf or rectangular shawl. It features embossed columns, that give it an elegant vertical look (similar to the Feather Rib stitch). January 16, 2020 /

In this tutorial, you’ll learn two different stitches: The classic Moss stitch, and, by adding a couple of rows, the striped Moss stitch; a more horizontal pattern design. I designed this new striped moss version myself, specifically for knitting scarves and blankets, because it’s reversible (practically identical on both sides), and it doesn’t curl. No extra edges are necessary! This striped moss stitch has a great texture to it, it’s pretty easy to knit (and to memorize), ideal for beginners: If you can knit and purl, you can knit this new stitch without a doubt. Easy Scarf knitting stitch pattern: Identical on both sides

    December 20, 2019 /

Today, you’ll learn how to knit an adorable scarf knitting stitch pattern, ideal for beginners.  Its advantages are many: It doesn’t curl, it’s reversible and identical on both sides, and it’s a two-row repeat pattern. This scarf knitting stitch pattern is created only by a combination of knits and purls (no increases, decreases, nor slip stitches are required). Easy to knit, it’s a great stitch for knitting women’s and men’s scarves, cowls, and even a blanket, as well as the last version of the Broken Rib we learned some days ago. Broken Rib Stitch: An Amazing 1-Row Repeat Pattern + Video

    December 9, 2019 /

In today’s tutorial, you’ll learn how to knit a beautiful version of the Broken Rib stitch, similar to the Mock Rib pattern, that we learned a couple of weeks ago, only easier. There are many versions of the Broken Rib knitting stitch, but I have to confess that I’m in love with this one: Only one-row and two steps to memorize! One of the many advantages of this version is that it’s identical on both sides. Furthermore, it doesn’t curl. It is the perfect stitch to knit a women’s and men’s scarf, cowl, sweater, top, wrap, or blanket.  The easy combination of knits and purls gives an elegant texture to…

Edelweiss stitch knitting pattern: Easy, reversible, and it doesn’t curl!

    March 4, 2019 /

The Edelweiss stitch is one of the easiest and most beautiful of the dense knitting stitch patterns that I know. Even cuter than the Easy stitch pattern for Baby clothing we learned a while ago 😉 It’s a reversible stitch (both sides are adorable), and it doesn’t curl. A perfect choice for knitting blankets, scarves, cowls, jumpers, baby clothing…you name it. Its texture resembles the rare alpine flower called Edelweiss found high up in the Swiss alps… Four rows create the pattern, and there is just one step to memorize…so let’s get started!
