    Today, you’ll learn how to add some texture to the Stockinette stitch pattern. Honestly, sometimes I like to share variations of classic knitting stitch patterns, such as the Stockinette with a cross-seam effect we practiced a while ago. Why? Because variety is the spice of life 😉 This is a four-row repeat pattern, three of which are plain knit or purl rows, easy-peasy!     In this post, I’m sharing how to knit the Stockinette stitch with a stylish cross-seam effect. Why? Well, as a knitter, I don’t know how many times I’ve worked on a whole project in Stockinette stitch (mainly sweaters, cardigans, and hats). The main reason is, I love the pattern (it’s so beautiful that even crocheters have come with a stitch that looks like it!). Besides, it’s easy and quick to knit, plus increasing and decreasing doesn’t require any calculations… YAY!
