    January 30, 2019 /

A lovely stitch pattern that doesn’t roll, and is identical on both sides of the work, great for knitting scarves and blankies. Abbreviations CO: Cast on K: Knit P: Purl Ktbl: Knit through the back loop BO: Bind off One Row stitch CO multiples of 4 + 2 stitches, i.e.: 4 * 5 = 20 + 2 = 22 stitches. 1º and only row: *K2, K1tbl, P1*. How to knit the Crests stitch: dense and textured

    September 27, 2018 /

The Crests stitch is an easier way to learn how to cross stitches, in case you haven’t knitted cables yet. It’s dense and textured, which can be used to knit women’s and men’s clothing and accessories. A perfect stitch to knit cowls, sweaters and cardigans, bags, cushions, a rectangular shawl or wrap, and so much more! To cross the stitches you’ll need a cable needle, that can be replaced using a pencil, a hair clip, a third needle, etc…anything you have, to leave a couple of stitches standing.   Abbreviations CO: Cast on St: Stitch K: Knit P: Purl  WS: Wrong side RS: Right side CN: Cable needle BO: Bind…

    Chinese Waves knitting stitch pattern

    October 16, 2017 /

A textured, and different stitch knitting pattern. The Chinese Waves stitch is ideal for knitting maxi scarves and cowls for anybody. Very easy to make, all you have to do is knit in two of the four rows. It is not reversible or double-faced, but it does not curl…so it’s worth it.   Chinese Waves knitting stitch pattern   Cast on an odd number of stitches. 1º Row (Right side of the work): Knit 2º Row (Wrong side of the work): Knit 1, *slip 1 as if to purl, knit 1*. Repeat from * to * until the end of the row. 3º Row: Knit 4º Row: Knit 2, *slip…

Easy Knitting stitch pattern for Baby Clothing

    October 13, 2017 /

A beautiful textured stitch especially for baby clothes, easy to knit (only 2 rows and 2 steps). This stitch doesn’t curl, and it’s not reversible, but the back side looks great too! That’s why I also like it for knitting scarves, cushions or blankets. Easy knitting stitch pattern for baby clothing Cast on an even number of stitches + 1 (for example, 10 + 1 = 11 stitches). 1º row: knit every stitch of the row, front and back. 2º row: *knit 2 together, purl 2 together*. Repeat from * to*. These two rows form the pattern, so you do not have much to memorize!   Enjoy the video: Knitting…
