How to Knit This Stockinette Texture – Easy 4-Row Stitch

Stitch Multiple

CO an odd number of sts (no edge sts included).

Instructions

Row 1 (WS): P across

Row 2 (RS): K1, *work K1, P1, K1 into the next st, K1*. Repeat to end (after this row the number of sts increases)

Row 3: *P1, K3*. Repeat to last st, P1

Row 4: K1, *P3tog, K1*. Repeat to end (after this row the number of sts gets back to the original count)

Repeat rows 1 – 4. Add as many stockinette rows you prefer before and after.
