    In today’s tutorial, you’ll learn how to knit vertical stripes. A two-row repeat pattern, that combines knitting and purling, easy to knit, ideal for beginners. It shares the same DNA of the Slip Stitch Rib we learned sometime ago. The Vertical Stripes stitch is perfect for knitting scarves, infinite cowls, blankets, etc., because although it’s not reversible, it doesn’t curl, and it’s unisex: It will work for women’s and men’s garments.     In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to knit and properly bind off the original version of the Fisherman’s Rib stitch. A traditional, reversible, two-row repeat pattern, identical on both sides, great for knitting fisherwomen’s and fishermen’s scarves, cowls, blankets, and jumpers or cardigans. It is also suitable for non fishing folk. The Fisherman’s Rib stitch is a spongy and pretty stretchy pattern (spongier than the Shaker stitch or Half Fisherman’s Rib we practiced some weeks ago).
