Little Checks Stitch: Ideal for knitting beginners
Beautiful, super easy, unisex, textured and it doesn’t curl…The Little Checks Stitch has a lot of advantages! Great for beginners, ideal to knit scarves, cowls, blankets, sweaters…
It works perfectly for babies, women, and men’s garments. It’s not reversible, but it looks fine on the wrong side.

Abbreviations
CO: Cast on
st: Stitch
RS: Right side of the work
K: Knit
P: Purl
BO: Bind off
Little Checks knitting pattern
CO multiples of 8 + 2 stitches. I.e.: 8 * 2 = 16 + 2 = 18 stitches.
1º row (RS): K1 (edge st), *P2, K6*. Repeat from * to *, ending with K1 (edge st).
2º and every even row: Work every st as it presents.
3º row: K1 (edge st), *K6, P2*. Repeat from * to *, ending with K1 (edge st).
5º row: K1 (edge st), *K4, P2, K2*. Repeat from * to *, ending with K1 (edge st).
7º row: K1 (edge st), *K2, P2, K4*. Repeat from * to *, ending with K1 (edge st).
8º row: Work every st as it presents.
These 8 rows create the pattern. Repeat them until the desired length is reached. BO in pattern.
