How to knit the Snowdrops Eyelets stitch pattern (ideal for beginners)
In this tutorial, I’m sharing the Snowdrops Eyelets knitting stitch pattern, because it’s one of those that I learned as a child.
Actually, when I was just 13 years old, I knitted a three-quarter sleeve sweater using this stitch, and then I totally forgot about it.
Besides it’s a lovely stitch, the Snowdrops Eyelets pattern is so easy to knit, that it can be your first lace pattern to try. No matter if you have little or no experience at all knitting lace stitches.
Furthermore, the Snowdrops Eyelets stitch pattern is perfect for knitting scarves, cowls, throws or wraps, since it lays flat. But it’s also a nice option when knitting a hat or a Spring sweater or cardigan.
At the same time, it’s similar to the Acorn stitch pattern we practiced some weeks ago.

Abbreviations
RS: Right side of the work
WS: Wrong side of the work
CO: Cast on
st: Stitch
K: Knit
P: Purl
yo: bring the working yarn to the front (yarn forward)
sk2p (double decrease): Slip 1 stitch knitwise (pass the stitch onto the right-hand needle as if to knit), knit the following 2 stitches together, and pass the slipped stitch over the last one.
BO: Bind off
Snowdrops Eyelets knitting pattern
CO multiples of 5 + 2; i.e.: 5 *3 = 15 + 2 = 17 stitches.
1º and 3º rows: P2, *K3, P2*. Repeat from * to *, to end.
2º, 4º, and 6º rows: *K2, P3*. Repeat from * to *, to last 2 st, K2.
5º row: P2, *yo, sk2p, yo, P2*. Repeat from * to *, to end.
These 6 rows create the pattern. Repeat them until the desired length is reached.
When finished, BO working each stitch as it presents, after a row 5 (WS).
