And the wool yarn and needles used are thick enough to finish it quickly. This French Beret knitting pattern works for teenage and adult sizes, because the ribbing is stretchy enough to suit head circumferences from 17.75 in (45 cm) up to 23.6 in (60 cm). Gauge Using US 15 (10 mm) needles: 8 stitches and 11 rows equals 4 in (10 cm) Materials For knitting the ribbing: 2 x US 11 (8 mm) knitting needles   #ad For knitting the rest of the beret: 2 x US 15 (10 mm) knitting needles #ad Suggested yarn: 100 gr of super bulky wool yarn #ad This kit has all the accessories you need, and many more: Tapestry needle, scissors, measurement tape or rule #ad Abbreviations CO: Cast on st: Stitch k: Knit p: Purl RS: Right side of the work kfb: Knit one stitch back and forth (knit one, don’t take it off the left-hand needle, and knit the same stitch through the back loop). Decreases Next row (RS) 1º row of this section: *K8, k2tog*. Repeat from * to * ending with K3 2º and every even row: P across 3º row: *K7, k2tog*. Repeat from * to * ending with K3 5º row: *K6, k2tog*. Repeat from * to * ending with K3 7º row: *K5, k2tog*. Repeat from * to * ending with K3 9º row: *K4, k2tog*. There are 7 st left Finishing Thread the darning needle, leaving a long tail, and pass it through each stitch, to close the little circle.  Use the same tail to join the beret from the tip to the ribbing (in the video I show you how to do the vertical invisible seam).
