This is the one for you 🙂 Make it for yourself, family and friends, you’ll love it. Materials Check out these gorgeous needles! 2 x 3.5 mm knitting needles / US 4 #ad 2 x 4 mm knitting needles / US 6h #ad 100 gr of wool Worsted, Afghan, Aran (Medium or number 4). 1 x Tapestry needle  #ad 1 x Measuring tape #ad 1 x Scissors #ad Gauge 22 st and 30 rows in Stockinette st with 4 mm needles = 10 cm / 4 in Finished Size Length from hem to crown: 26 cm / 10.24 in Hat Circumference: Approximately 44 cm / 17.32 in. The 2 x 2 Rib is very stretchy, hat will fit up up to a 65 cm / 25.60 in Abbreviations RS: Right side of the work WS: Wrong side of the work CO: Cast on st: Stitch K: Knit P: Purl K2tog: Knit two stitches together inc: Increase 1 st (knit one stitch as usual, and before dropping it from the left hand needle, knit it again through the back loop).  How to knit a Slouchy-Hipster Hat for absolute beginners With smaller needles, CO 114 st. Hem (11 rows in 2 x 2 Rib stitch) 1º and every odd row: *K2, P2*. Repeat from * ending with K2. 2º and every even row: P2, *K2, P2*. Repeat from * to the end. Knit 9 more rows to complete 11 rows in total. Increases 12º row: K27, *inc, P28*. Repeat from * to the end (117 st). With 4mm needles: 1º row: K across 2º row: P across Repeat these last 2 rows until the hat measures 20 cm / 8 in from the hem, ending with a RS row. Next row (increase row): Purl 58 st, inc 1 st, purl 58 st (118 st). Crown shaping 1º row: *K7, K2tog* Repeat from * 13 times, ending with K1 (105 st). 2º and every even row (except la row 16): P across 3ª row: *K6, K2tog* Repeat from * 13 times, ending with K1 (92 st). 5ª row: *K5, K2tog* Repeat from * 13 times, ending with K1 (79 st). 7ª row: *K4, K2tog* Repeat from * 13 times, ending with K1 (66 st). 9ª row: *K3, K2tog* Repeat from * 13 times, ending with K1 (53 st). 11º row: *K2, K2tog* Repeat from * 13 times, ending with K1 (40 st). 13º row: *K1, K2tog* Repeat from * 13 times, ending with K1 (27 st). 15º row: *K2tog* Repeat from * 13 times, ending with K1 (14 st). 16º row: *P2tog* Repeat from * 7 times, ending with K1 (7 st). Cut the yarn leaving a 10 cm / 4 inch tail, thread your yarning needle and pull it through the remaining st. Secure the tip of the hat and seam both sides (watch the video here to see how it’s done).
